In April 2024, our team traveled to Tegucigalpa, Honduras to work on one of our most ambitious projects: helping an entire national network of chambers of commerce modernize how they connect workers with employers. The project, funded through Germany’s BMZ development cooperation via sequa and bbw, aims to transform how vocational training and labor placement services work across Honduras — not through a top-down government program, but through the country’s own business associations.

ZeroHunger.ai offers consulting services in AI and software development. This provides the necessary resources to establish ZeroHunger.ai as a healthy social business. Our consulting services help other organizations achieve their goals, creating a ripple effect of positive change.

Today I founded Zero Hunger AI UG (haftungsbeschränkt) with the intention of developing it into a non-profit software business gGmbH.

I think of this as joining a revolution. Let me explain you why.

The current default mode of business, the for-profit model maximizing shareholder value, is not sustainable for the planet and humanity. The depletion of resources, the widening income gap, and the ever-growing social and environmental problems make it clear that we need to find a new way of doing business. The business as usual model has failed us, and we need a new paradigm that places the well-being of humanity and the planet at its core.

Accelerating Ethiopia's Tech Ecosystem: How We Helped 10 Software SMEs Build Better Products

Between March 2023 and May 2024, ZeroHunger.ai sent a team of consultants to Addis Ababa three times to work with Ethiopian software companies. The mission: help a cohort of tech SMEs sharpen their products, fix their processes, and build businesses that could survive and grow in one of Africa’s most dynamic — and most challenging — startup environments.

This engagement was part of sequa gGmbH’s acceleration programme in Ethiopia, funded through German development cooperation, with the goal of creating sustainable, skilled jobs in the country’s emerging tech sector.
